Standing Bear Lake is a park in West Omaha named after the Ponca leader Chief Standing Bear. The park is open year round and offers a variety of lake activities including fishing and boating as well as ice skating in the winter. There is a playground, paths for running and biking, picnic areas, and open spaces, all of which add to the appeal of this park. The Standing Bear Lake also features a remote control airplane flying field, home of the Omahawks R/C Club.
