The Great Platte River Road Archway hangs over Interstate 80 like a felled redwood, a cantilevered testament to an age of cattle and dust wrought in modern steel and stone. Covering the period from 1843 to 1869, when nearly half a million settlers traveled west across a vast network of trails, the Archway uses a its own network of fiber optic cables to deliver a unique museum experience full of sound and light.
