I am a visual artist and Assistant Professor of Digital Media. As an artist, I create video installations, single-channel videos, urban actions and interactive media projects. As a professor, I teach courses in new media and interactive digital media production.
I am also founder/owner of Satellite Jones, a socially conscious media organization that develops websites, online marketing campaigns, and various other technical consultation services.
I earned a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University in 1996 and an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts/Tufts University in 2002.
I have many interests and enjoy wearing many hats. After spending 3 months as an artist in residence at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, I became inspired to build a community website for the greater Omaha area. Thus the birth of Omaha.net.
As an artist and member of society, I’m interested in collaborating with people on projects that bring awareness to important issues, that offer tangible alternatives to current conditions, and that bring more joy into the world.
I enjoy coffee oreo ice cream, baseball, novels by Haruki Murakami and devising ways to make my son laugh.

Nice profile Tom - seems like you’ve got your fingers into a lot of interesting stuff around town. We actually don’t have a page for Hummel Park yet - if you feel inspired to tell us...
Greetings Susan - welcome to Omaha.net! Let us know what you think of the site!
