Experimental percussionist Tatsuya Nakatani is coming to the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts for a special one-night performance on Saturday, April 7. Doors open at 8:30 pm and the concert will begin at 9:00 pm.
Originally from Osaka Japan, Nakatani is a contemporary percussionist that has performed around the world. Utilizing instruments he creates himself – including drums, bowed gongs, cymbals, singing bowls and metal objects – Nakatani’s sound is wholly unique, defying easy category or genre classification.
