The USDA’s Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program will host the first urban and rural agriculture listening sessions to help advance profitable, environmentally sound farming systems that are good for communities. The sessions in Omaha, Lincoln and Council Bluffs will guide future USDA and North Central Region-SARE policies, programs and outreach. The Omaha listening session is free and open to the public. Following the session, Metropolitan Community College’s Institute for the Culinary Arts will host a $10 Harvest Reception featuring local foods prepared by students.
The Institute for Culinary Arts is located on the Metropolitan Community College Fort Omaha Campus, 32nd Street and Sorensen Parkway.
