What: American Heart Association Omaha-Council Bluffs Heart Walk, presented by CenturyLink
Where: Aksarben Village - Stinson Park, 67th and Center streets
When: Saturday, May 5. The Children’s Mile begins at 8 a.m., and the Heart Walk opening ceremonies begin at 8:30 a.m. with the Heart Walk at 9 a.m.
Why: Cardiovascular disease is our nation’s No. 1 killer. The Heart Walk is a fun and inspirational event that educates the public on achieving ideal health, while raising funds for the lifesaving research and educational programs of the American Heart Association. The event also pays tribute to survivors and those we have lost to heart disease and stroke.
