Midwest Dilemma / All Young Girls Are Machine Guns CD Release Party
Join Midwest Dilemma for a special Slowdown Front Room show. Also appearing will be Kyle Harvey and All Young Girls Are Machine Guns, who are celebrating the release of their new CD on Slo-Fidelity Records.
The Secret Attic Recordings CD Release Party will feature All Young Girls Are Machine Guns joined onstage by Scott "Zip" Zimmerman (of Sarah Benck and The Robbers, Whipkey Zimmerman, and a bunch of other sweet bands) on percussion, and Travis Sing (of the Black Squirrels) on upright bass.
All Young Girls Are Machine Guns is the moniker by which Rebecca Lowry crafts beautiful songs on the ukelele. The kind of songs that feel like a note left on the dresser. You might find one on the sidewalk as you stumble home from the bar. You pick it up gently and drop it into your shirt pocket, close to your heart. AYGAMG is what Tessie O’shea would have sounded like if she sang soul songs with long, breathy vowels. Slo-Fidelity is excited to release her debut album, Secret Attic Recordings. The album is a raw, late night, after-hours affair that captures an intimate glimpse of a gal singing her heart out, because that’s just what she does.
