The next cafe is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 7:00 to 8:00pm, at the Slowdown. Our guest speaker will be Ally Dering-Anderson Pharm.D., R.P., who will be giving a presentation on "High Expectations? Legalizing Marijuana, Some Things to Consider."

Ally is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy. She teaches in the Pharmacy Law and Ethics Class.

Science Cafés involve a face-to-face conversation with a scientist about current science topics. They are open to everyone 21 and older. A science café’s casual meeting place, plain language, and inclusive conversation create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for people with no science background. A scientist gives a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period. Pizza will be provided by The Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures for the first 50 people.
