Beer and Blog is a bi-weekly meet up giving Omaha residents the opportunity to chat with a wide variety of people, including: open source developers, web designers, information architects, photographers, social media butterflies, entrepreneurs, advertising execs, college students, project managers, engineers, stay-at-home moms, real estate agents, etc.
It is based around the idea of blogging, and while blogging platforms, posts, and popular blogs will be discussed, at its heart, Beer and Blog is a relaxed social gathering (beer optional) designed to foster discussion.
The Beer and Blog model spread from Portland and is now popular in 16 US cities and two other countries.
