The Nebraska Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD Nebraska) is pleased to present the March 2014 programming event. Please join us from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, for “Two-Dimensional Approach to Learning Objectives” presented by Dr. David Byers. This program will provide members and guests with professional development opportunities in regard to Instructional Design and will include lunch along with the opportunity to network with other attendees.
The renowned Bloom’s Taxonomy was revised in 2001 by one of the developers of the original taxonomy. In this interactive program, participants utilize critical thinking skills to examine the differences between Bloom's original taxonomy and the revision published in 2001. An analysis of the elements of adult learning theory sets the stage during this collaborative program for determining the benefits of a two-dimensional approach for learning objectives.*
* This program has been approved for 1.00 (HR [General]) recertification credit hour toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.
Dr. David Byers is an Associate Professor at Bellevue University currently in charge of the undergraduate degree in Adult Education. He has been in the training and education fields for 30 years. He has a Ph.D. in Education, with a specialization in Teaching and Learning, and a master’s degree in Adult and Continuing Education.
Early program registration is available through Thursday, March 6 for $20. Regular program registration begins on March 7 for $25. Non-Members and those who wish to register the day of the program will be charged $35. The event will take place at Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
