Metropolitan Community College is reaching out to high school dropouts and students on the verge of dropping out who are ready to reengage in education. Gateway to College provides dropouts ages 16-20 from Omaha Public Schools a chance to earn their diploma while simultaneously earning college credits. The only one of its kind in Nebraska, the program aims to bring more opportunities to some of the 20 percent of Omaha-area students who drop out of high school. Information sessions for the Fall 2011 program are July 5, July 11 and July 25. Call (402) 457-2746 to register for a session. Sessions will be at Metropolitan Community College Fort Omaha Campus, FOC Bldg. 7, Room 107A.
