Keith Evan & I are both fresh from a mind blowing experience in Mexico for the Mi Casa Holiday (which you should all sign up for next year). I met Keith last year while planning and promoting Mi Casa. We’ve spent time in Mexico and Miami and my experiences with him have been equal parts amazing and mischievous. Whether it be bicycling with Osunlade at Burning Man or pawning me off as Rocco to get us in for free at the Miami Defected party, he’s got a charisma about him that lights up parties when he enters and shakes booties when he’s behind the decks.
⏏⏏⏏⏏ Keith Evan Bio ⏏⏏⏏⏏
Keith Evan is nomadic by spirit and dedicated to house music for life. During his decade stay in Las Vegas, he’s become the go-to guy for deep house in the city. Beyond the countless residencies at all the hot spots or being named 2009’s "Best Resident DJ" by the Las Vegas Weekly Magazine, his 10-year party known as SoundBar has been one of America’s largest deep house gatherings. Talent such Doc Martin, Mark Farina, Kerri Chandler, Timmy Regisford, Kenny Dope, King Britt, DJ Spinna, Ben Watt and countless others have found a home in Vegas thanks to Evan’s tireless efforts in turing a Top 40 mash-up town onto something authentic.
Apart from his ambassadorship in Las Vegas, he spent time in the early 90’s on the West Coast, being inspired by the developing house scene. In the late 90’s, he moved to Venezuela where he introduced deep house to the area through a few afterhours parties. Kinkysweet’s Habitat Collection titled "Twilight" released a mix of his in 2006 which sent him on a US & French tour. He’s also a regular guest at parties across the country including Doc Martin’s LA Sublevel event, Nickodemus’ Turntables on the Hudson event, or his 5-year running Ambassador’s closing party at Miami’s WMC. Most recently, he’s been an integral part of the Mi Casa Holiday booking and programming in Playa del Carmen.
