The Nebraska Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD Nebraska) invites you to attend the next program and workshop on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. "Flash Animation" is valuable for teachers, designers, and developers. The hour-long program will describe and demonstrate how animations can show change or present the concept of time quite easily without taking up multiple pages of media. In addition, animation can be used in place of the standard page turner type instruction where concepts and rules are the objectives of the learning. Then stay for the extended 2-hour workshop that will educate attendees on how to build short animations with Adobe Flash - creating memorable experiences for more engaged learners. In addition, you will learn to use Flash to turn bitmaps into vectors, draw your own vectors, and use layers to produce complex graphics. Finally you will use movie clips, key frames, the timeline, and tweening to produce animations. No coding required! (almost)

Join us from 11:30 am - 12:00 pm for networking and lunch. The program will run from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. The workshop portion of the event will start immediately after the program and concludes at 3:00 pm. Early registration for members is $20 through Thursday, April 4. Regular registration is accepted from Friday, April 5 to Tuesday, April 9 for $25. Registration the day of the program and non-members is $35. To attend the workshop only is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. This event will be held at the Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine St., Omaha NE 68106.

Join David Kipling, our guest speaker and 15-year veteran of instructional design. Kipling has created learning solutions for Clarkson College, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, The Peter Kiewit Institute, The Nebraska Medical Center, eBay, and now Union Pacific Railroad.
