eLearning and Networking Roundtable Discussion
If you are challenged on where to go for ideas or help with your eLearning, you won't want to miss the November 14 ASTD Nebraska program. Experts will lead discussions and inform attendees of the great blogs and sites devoted to improving the value of eLearning in our trainings and business. The discussion leaders will showcase some topics relevant to anyone new or old in the eLearning industry.
You won’t want to miss these local experts:

Michael currently serves as HDR’s Senior eLearning Developer in the training and organizational development department. His key role is the design and development of web-based training delivered via HDR University, an employee development resource comprised of over 200 instructor-led, online- and webinar-delivered courses.
If you need an Alternative to Video instruction, Dave Kipling is your guy. He is a teacher and technologist with interests and expertise in areas like studio arts, graphic design, industrial design, and even psychology. David's experience with online instruction began in higher education, assisting faculty with their synchronous and asynchronous distance learning courses. He has transitioned into the corporate world, designing eLearning courses for area businesses—using time and motion to tell memorable stories. David holds a MS in IT Management from Creighton University and Bachelor's in MIS from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Content is still very important in preparing an online learning atmosphere. Join the discussion with Heather Falkner. Heather is a Senior Project Consultant for Union Pacific Railroad. Heather has worked at Union Pacific Railroad for 15 years. The last 8 years have been in the area of training and implementation support for a variety of enterprise and departmental systems. Heather enjoys working with her internal customers who sponsor the applications, the development teams that build them, and the analysts that drive the requirements. The last 5 years she has worked on a large-scale system-wide project to replace a legacy mainframe system with web technologies. This objective is being achieved primarily through eLearning courses developed internally. She holds an Associate's in Electronics Engineering from ITT Tech, Bachelor's in Business Administration from Bellevue University, and an MBA from Bellevue University.
