Artist in Residence Open Studios
The Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts is pleased to announce that current artists-in-residence will be opening their doors to the public during “Open Studios” on Saturday, March 23 between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.
The Bemis Center is widely regarded as a leader and innovator in the international field of artist communities. The Bemis Center’s residency program provides artists with time, space and support, allowing artists to take creative risks in complete freedom and without expectation. Each year, over 1,200 artists apply for only 36 annual fellowships.
Open Studios represents a chance for the public to come meet this exceptional group and experience the Bemis Center’s core mission firsthand. The artists will be available to show you their studio, talk about their process, and give you a look at what they've been working on. This event is free and open to the public.
